You’re so good to me is an ongoing series of suspended leather works. Made from the same strips of leather and disassembled between each showing, the sculpture is suspended with hemp rope and filled with paper scraps or textile. Each iteration differs from previous ones, with varying juxtapositions of tones and textures of leather providing the bodies with a life of their own. In smaller spaces, the smell of leather permeates the room, while its body confronts the viewer with a presence that is both human in scale and uncanny in form. The weight of the strips is emphasized when folded on the hemp rope, seemingly cutting off the body’s supply of air, and providing an uncomfortable resting spot.

You’re so good to me has been exhibited in its various iterations at Atelier Galerie 2112, VAV Gallery, and Espace Loulou.
